The truth of the matter is that I wear dresses….a lot. Like 5 days out of 7. Maybe 6. If you know me in real, live, actual life then you know this already, but I feel it needs to be mentioned. (Update 2021 – chortling merrily. I live that Wyoming life now and live in activewear. How times change.)
I’m from (and still live in) a small smaller tiny miniscule town. The problem with living in a repressively rural area is that anytime one wears a dress or skirt, people think you’re dressed up to go somewhere. Like a funeral. Or an appointment with your divorce lawyer, who knows. But you’re viewed with a certain level of suspicion. Seriously. Once I realized I didn’t give a flying fount what other people thought about the way I dressed, I started to have more fun with my wardrobe.
If you’ve only ever thought dresses were Sunday-goin’-to-meetin’ clothes, I’m here to tell you otherwise.
2.) Hot weather is my bitch. A dress = instant ventilation, people.
4. I am a very big fan of overdressing for every occasion.
There you have it. 5 reasons. Because I couldn’t think of 6.
See you later!
The way you feel about dresses is the way I feel about jeans. Only you look a lot more put-together in your dresses. And your hair looks lovely in the closet photos. Makes me want to go roll my hair now.
I go through hair-curling phases, sometimes I do it nearly every day and then I'll go for months without doing it. But the end result is worth the work!
