The weather has cooled off considerably over the past few weeks, resulting in the urge to pick up the knitting needles again.
Which is actually a sign of pure weather-induced laziness, because I usually only knit while watching TV. So this slouchy beret is brought to you by ‘Mad Men.’
This was a quick project that I finished in a few days. I likes it. Very much.
Here is the (free!) pattern, created by Hannah at CompuKnits. The only difficulty I had with the hat was purely my own damn fault – I am the Duchess of Dropped Stitches, unfortunately.
With the cooler weather, I am looking forward to autumn. A lot. The beret is done, and I’m hoping to finish up a bolero and get started on a sweater before winter hits. That’s very ambitious and I’m a very distracted soul, so we’ll see how it goes.
See you back here for Photo Friday!
Love it! Awesome job:) Cool choice of the gray yarn, too, by the way.(MAD MEN?! Hey, are you a Downton Abbey girl? I am hooked, hooked, I say! Someday I'm going to make a ton of recipes from the show. They may not turn out well, but I'm determined to have like a 1920s Christmas theme or something one day. LOL, yes, I am a dork, oh well…)
I just bought Season 1 of Downton Abbey and watched the whole thing in under 12 hours. So yeah. A little bit obsessed.
Yeah… that's what happens. It draws you IN!!! Good luck, 'cuz you are now screwed. LOL. And, Season 3 will floor you…
So cute! I am totally impressed with your knitting skills and you will have lots of fun wearing it.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to fall so I can wear it without looking like a doofus.
